All of these have one purpose - to allow you and your clients to connect to the internet wirelessly; at home, in the office, or on the move.

What is Wireless Internet?

As the name implies, wireless internet means the ability to go online (for communication, research, gaming, entertainment, social media, and so on) without being physically connected to a modem via a cable of sorts.

It is a type of technology that works across various devices; including everything from desktop computers to mobile phones.

3G and HSDPA

3G is 3rd generation technology that offers faster transfer of data and better voice quality than the 1st and 2nd generations.

HSDPA stands for high-speed download packet access and refers to a telephone-based protocol. It's basically an enhanced version of 3G. For that reason, it's also sometimes referred to as 3G+ or 3.5G.

Mobile connectivity is ideal for users that are not office bound. These remote or travelling employees can simply connect a USB dongle to their laptop to use this wireless internet access (where the signal permits).

GPRS (general packet radio service) is a type of mobile data that is standard for 3G technology.

4G and LTE

The 4G and LTE options are ideal for users that are on the road or working remotely, but find that the 3G and HSDPA options don't provide sufficient internet speed.

4G is about faster, stabler connectivity with access to a larger range of online activities and resources. LTE is best described as a halfway point between 3G and 4G.
